Winter expeditions to Nanga Parbat. Nanga Parbat was a great place to experiment with off grid energy. Safety is a key issue during climbing and high altitude mountaineering and radio and satellite phone is useless if not charged. Same with light and other electronic tools. At base camp we got laptop, music and satellite communication devices. All that power hungry.
